Plot Summary

The film begins with a recap of the events of Frankenstein, where Victor Frankenstein creates a creature from corpses and abandons it. The creature, named Adam by the gargoyle queen Leonore, kills Victor's wife Elizabeth in revenge, and Victor chases him to the Arctic. There, they both die, and Adam buries Victor's body. However, he is attacked by demons who want to capture him for their leader Naberius, who plans to use Victor's journal to create an army of undead. Adam is rescued by gargoyles, who are the guardians of humanity and enemies of demons. Leonore explains to Adam that he has a human soul, and gives him weapons to fight the demons. Adam decides to leave and live in isolation.

Two hundred years later, Adam returns to civilization and finds that Naberius has taken the form of a billionaire businessman named Charles Wessex, who runs a biotechnology company called Wessex Industries. He has hired a scientist named Terra Wade to conduct experiments on reanimating corpses using electricity. Adam infiltrates Wessex Industries and retrieves Victor's journal, but is pursued by demons and gargoyles. He manages to escape with the help of Terra, who becomes curious about him. He also learns that Naberius has secretly collected thousands of corpses for his project.

Adam is captured by the gargoyles and brought to their cathedral, where Leonore decides to spare his life and keep him under their protection. However, he is betrayed by one of the gargoyles named Gideon, who gives his location to the demons. Naberius sends his right-hand man Zuriel to attack the cathedral and kidnap Terra, who has figured out Adam's identity. Adam fights Zuriel and kills him, but not before he wounds Leonore. Adam then teams up with the remaining gargoyles to rescue Terra from Wessex Industries.

At Wessex Industries, Naberius reveals his true form to Terra and forces her to activate the machine that will transfer the souls of the demons into the corpses. However, Adam arrives and confronts Naberius, while the gargoyles fight the demons. Adam manages to destroy the machine and free Terra, but Naberius escapes with Victor's body. Adam follows him to a nearby cemetery, where Naberius attempts to possess Victor's corpse and become more powerful. Adam prevents him from doing so, and uses his weapons to ignite Naberius' body and incinerate him.

Adam returns to the cathedral, where he finds that Leonore has survived her wound. She thanks him for his help and offers him a place among the gargoyles. Adam declines, saying that he needs to find his own way in life. He then leaves with Terra, who has developed feelings for him. The film ends with Adam saying that he is no longer Frankenstein's monster, but a man with a soul.
